(Titus 3:4-7)

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? (Romans 2:4)

Look for ways to tangibly show kindness. Some ideas: return a stranger’s grocery cart at the supermarket, help out with a flat tire or car trouble, hold the door open for someone behind you, leave a big tip for someone, help someone carry their bags, leave a treat for the mail person, take some cookies to your local fire or police station or pick up trash while you are on a walk.

Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like a great deep. O Lord, You preserve man and beast. How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. Week 6 | GOODNESS
Goodness Memory Verse: Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23:6
Goodness is a moral characteristic of a Spirit-filled person. The Greek word translated “goodness”, agathosune, is defined as “uprightness of heart and life.” Agathosune is goodness for the benefit of others, not goodness simply for the sake of being virtuous.
Monday: Thank God for His Goodness
Scripture:
Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6)
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34)

Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled. (Joshua 21:45)

Goodness is more than being kind, it is also about our Godly character. Our actions and attitudes reflect who God is. Look for one situation today to not make the easy choice, but to make the Godly choice; knowing God will reward you for what is done in secret.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God that His love endures forever and His goodness will follow you all the days of your life. Thank God for giving you opportunities to show His goodness this week.
Tuesday: Show God’s Goodness To Friends and Family
Scripture:
Good and upright is the Lord; therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways. (Psalm 25:8)
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 100:5)
It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. (Titus 2:12-14)
Challenge:
The Bible tells us that the word ‘good’ actually means holy, pure and righteous. Look for ways to stand up for the people God has placed in your life that are not being treated with righteousness. As we seek goodness for ourselves, we will see when wickedness is being done to others. Be an advocate for your friends and family this week.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for the friends and family that have shown God’s goodness to you. Ask God to give you opportunities this week to express your thankfulness to them.
Wednesday: Show God’s Goodness To People At Your Work
Scripture:
I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us— yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses. (Isaiah 63:7)
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. (Lamentations 3:25-26)
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. (1 Peter 2:2-3)

Literally goodness is godliness. Goodness can often be seen in our actions, but our heart also has to be pure. Look for ways to share God’s goodness to a coworker that might be struggling with a tough decision.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for His provision of work over your lifetime and ask Him to give you the strength to have a pure heart towards your work and coworkers. Ask God to help you bring His goodness into your place of work.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another. (Romans 15:14)
Challenge:
Since Goodness is virtue and holiness in action, serve your community this week with your actions and not just your words. Share God’s goodness with people who don’t know Him in your community that may not know about God’s goodness.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for His goodness and the blessings He continues to pour out from the community that he has placed you in. Ask God to bless you and your neighborhood in a special way this week!
Friday: Show God’s Goodness to People In Your Church

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. (Luke 6:35)
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. (Romans 12:9)
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)
Challenge:
Your serving and financial contributions help the church be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need. God’s goodness results in a church that is characterized by deeds motivated by righteousness and a desire to be a blessing. Help your church show goodness to others by regularly serving and giving of your tithes and offerings.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for creating the local church, especially The Met. Ask Him for opportunities for you to give financially and to serve so you can share the goodness of God and His blessings with others.
Saturday: Recap and Respond
Watch the “FULL OF GOODNESS” recap and ask God to speak to you about where you are falling short on empowering the Holy Spirit to show GOODNESS to others through you! Ask God to fill you with His GOODNESS so others will know Him better. What is your biggest takeaway from focusing on God’s GOODNESS this week? We would love to hear how God is moving in your life.
Week 7 | FAITHFULNESS
Faithfulness Memory Verse: But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
Faithfulness is the steadfastness and constancy of trusting God. Biblical faithfulness requires belief in what the Bible says about God—His existence, His works, and His character. Faith helps us trust He will work out everything for good. The only way we can have such faith is by the Holy Spirit’s influence. He testifies to the truth and impels us to seek God. The Spirit makes us faithful.
Monday: Thank God for His Faithfulness
Scripture:
I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 1:12-14)
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
Challenge:
Write down 3 ways God has been faithful to you this year and 3 ways you can be faithful to Him this year.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for his faithfulness to you over your entire life. Even when you haven’t seen it, He is with you and guiding you. His plans are far greater than our plan or wants. Ask God to make you keenly aware of His faithfulness.
Tuesday: Show God’s Faithfulness To Friends and Family
Scripture:
Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love, but a faithful man who can find? (Proverbs 20:6)
Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. (1 Corinthians 4:2)
Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:3-4)
Challenge:
We know God is reliable, steadfast, and true. Look at your calendar over the last month and look for ways to be more reliable to your friends and family. Cut out unneeded distractions to spend more time with them.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for the blessing of the friends and family He has put in your life. Name as many as you can think of that are now or have been a consistent faithful person that has helped you. Then ask God to give you opportunities to do that for other people.
Wednesday: Show God’s Faithfulness To People At Your Work
Scripture:
One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. (Luke 16:10)
And the Lord said, ‘Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.’ (Luke 12:42-44)
Love the Lord, all you his saints! The Lord preserves the faithful but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride. (Psalm 31:23)
Challenge:
Be faithful in all your tasks at work, knowing that God sees and rewards our faithfulness, even if no one else does. Be disciplined in going the extra mile to those you work with so they will see your faithfulness to them as well.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for the faithful people you have at work, even if it is just one person. Ask God to create a work environment that is a positive and life giving place where you spend so much of your time. Commit your work to God and honor Him with each work day.
Thursday: Show God’s Faithfulness To People In Your Community
Scripture:
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. (Psalm 36:5)
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you. (1 Samuel 12:24)
Challenge:
Faithfulness is believing that God is Who He says He is and continuing in that belief despite the uncertainties of life. Functionally, that means we trust what God says in the Bible, and not necessarily what the world or our own eyes tell us. Speak truth and love to those in your community this week, encourage them in the uncertainty they are facing.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for more of the steadfast love that He extends to you so you can extend it to others in your community. Ask Him for new mercies every morning that will keep your eyes on Him. Keep looking for the great things He is doing, not the difficulties you are currently facing.
Friday: Show God’s Faithfulness to People In Your Church
Scripture:
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. (Revelation 19:11)
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
Challenge:
God rewards those who seek Him and trust Him with all their hearts. We trust God even when He is silent and we see no miracles. Commit to being faithful to your church for the rest of the year. Plan to attend church, serve in your church with your time and give of your money so ministry can continue.
Prayer Focus:
Ask God to reveal something new you can do for your church. It doesn’t have to be big, just an area where you can help and show your faithfulness.
Saturday: Recap and Respond
Watch the “FULL OF FAITHFULNESS” recap and ask God to speak to you about where you are falling short on empowering the Holy Spirit to show FAITHFULNESS to others through you! Ask God to fill you with His FAITHFULNESS so others will know Him better. What is your biggest takeaway from focusing on God’s FAITHFULNESS this week? We would love to hear how God is moving in your life.
