CARE & SUPPORT
The Care Ministry: Support Groups at The Met
The Care ministry was created to effectively meet the needs of the members of The Met Church. This ministry is designed to help those going through a difficult life event, those in need of prayer or someone to walk alongside them. Please let us know how we can serve you.
You can also submit a request for wedding or funeral services.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
— 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Prayer
We are honored to pray for you and your needs. Our goal is to make dependence on God through prayer foundational for you and our church. All requests are confidential and will be prayed over by our church staff and our prayer team. To submit a prayer request you may do any of the following:
- Call the office at 817-379-4638 or
- Email us at [email protected] or

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
— Philippians 4:6-7
Helping Neighbors In Need
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.

Weddings at the Met
The Met is here to help you create a beautiful and sacred wedding blessed by God. Our goal is to help you build a strong foundation of commitment with Christ at the center of your relationship.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
— 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Funerals
We are here to assist families in coordinating and officiating funerals or memorial services following the loss of a loved one. Whether the family decides to use The Met facilities or not, we are available to assist in honoring their loved one.
If you or someone you know has lost a loved one and would like to hold the funeral or memorial service at The Met, please call the church office at 817-379-4638 or email us at [email protected].
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
— John 14:1-3
